August Activities

Lisa Modrow (Lambda Pi President) assisted in helping the ESA Kansas State Council meeting with the Sunday morning Welcome! I met lots of great sisters and put lots of faces and names together! We have a great network of resources available at our fingertips! I love ESA! Lambda Pi's social was at Knuckleheads Bar and Grill - let me tell you that they may be a very small hole in the wall, but the food is excellent!!!!!

Lambda Pi is also beginning to take flocking orders this month as well as selling Carlos O'Kelleys Coupons! Ask a member for details!

Lambda Pi helped kick off the Saline County Back to School Fair!

The last week in July Lambda Pi members volunteered at the Saline County Back to School Fair by handing out books, helping with photos, and helping with the haircuts section! We had lots of fun watching all the kids (and there were LOTS OF THEM!) running around playing on the toys, checking out all of the booths and getting dental and health screenings as well! Let's PAINT SALINA PINK!!

During the months of September & October 2009 you can flock someone...or be flocked yourself.

This is a fun and unique fundraiser sponsored by Salina’s Lambda Pi Chapter of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority.

It works like this...

Step1. Fill out an order form of who, what, where, and when (see attached) and return it to a Lambda Pi sorority sister.

Step2. Make sure Lambda Pi recieves the suggested donation for the flock size you wish by hand-delivering it or sending it in the mail. Only after payment will the flocking occur.

Step3. A specially trained flocking crew will sneak in after dusk and secretly place a flock of flamingos in the "victims" front yard.

Step4. The flamingos will carry a letter explaining the removal policy, ordering forms, and anti-flocking insurance will be on the flamingo’s neck or leg.
Step5. The flamingos will be removed in 24 hours.

Lambda Pi will be PRE-SALING flocking orders through the month of August.

How do you avoid being flocked?

Don’t want to be flocked under any circumstances? Purchase anti-flocking insurance for a $20 donation to Lambda Pi prior to our September “take” off and you’ll never have to worry about looking at a bunch of EXOTIC PLASTIC BIRDS in your front yard!

Intentions:

This is a friendly fundraiser, it is not meant to be malicious by any means. Flocking is only done in good spirits. To make this fundraiser successful, we must have willing participants. The removal DOES NOT require a payment but donation to benefit Lambda Pi Sorority will be greatly appreciated. When choosing a person to flock, please be wary of their temperament and sense of humor. Do not choose someone who would abuse the flamingo’s or allow them to become a permanent lawn ornament!! This is a fundraiser to support the Lambda Pi Sorority.

If you are interested in requesting a flocking, buying insurance, or if you have any questions please contact Lisa Modrow at 785.820.1026 or email lisam_@hgp@yahoo.com

FLOCK ON!!
